Klein Umformtechnik GmbH
The KLEiN success story goes back fifty years and more

Steady growth through a programme of investment in cutting-edge technologies, a keen understanding of the demands of the times, and the enormous commitment of the entire workforce are the key strengths of this medium-sized company.

Founded as a simple sheet-metal cutting and stamping firm in Siegen, Germany, by Alfred Klein in 1954, under the directorship of current owner Manfred Klein, the company moved into the manufacture of high-end pressed and deep-drawn parts over the successive decades to become a specialist in the sheet-metal forming industry. A high standard of quality, dependability and flexibility plus the drive toward evolving improvement ensure the company's outstanding position in a highly competitive market.

Over all the years of the company's history, the workforce has been an essential factor in the success of KLEiN Umformtechnik. "We have always maintained our commitment to training our own specialists", confirms Managing Director Uwe Bittner. Employing a total of 160 people, KLEiN Umformtechnik is an important and solidly dependable employer in the Siegerland region of North Rhine-Westphalia. In fact, KLEiN has also expanded beyond its Netphen-Deuz location and brought know-how, flexibility and capability to other manufacturing centres. In 1998 the company opened a plant in the town of Ottendorf-Okrilla in Saxony, where 80 people are now employed.

The total workforce figure for 2007 across all the KLEiN Group's facilities is 265. Quality requirements are invariably high, and the commitment to compliance is unswerving. Since November 2004, this has been documented by our achievement of ISO/TS 16949:2002 certification to the highest international standard of quality.
